Position Overview

We are seeking Spray Equipment Operators, CDL and non-CDL drivers to operate specialized railroad equipment such as Hi-Rail trucks, off-track, bucket trucks, and on-track brush cutting equipment. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you perform services confidently for industrial and commercial clients. Our projects include vegetation maintenance and asset management for railroads, DOTs, utility companies, and government agencies nationwide. Experience in vegetation management is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop your career and enhance your skills.
  • Operate and maintain truck and sprayer equipment safely and properly.
  • Apply herbicides to control weeds, grass, and brush along railroads.
  • Mix tank solutions daily.
  • Inspect trucks, maintain spray systems, and perform repairs.
  • Calibrate spray equipment for accurate application.
Qualifications

What We’re Seeking:

  • A love of the outdoors.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75%, with 5-8 weeks away and 1 week home; travel and lodging covered, per diem provided.
  • Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Program and First Aid, CPR, defensive driving courses upon hire.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) with Tanker Endorsement required.
  • Relevant pesticide and related licenses or certificates as required by state law.
