Role Description

The Spotter Driver is a full-time, on-site role located in Conyers, GA, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard and between designated loading, unloading, and staging areas. Day-to-day tasks include spotting trailers to dock doors, relocating equipment to assigned parking spaces, and coordinating with warehouse and dispatch teams to support loading schedules and outbound shipments. The Spotter Driver will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers, report equipment or safety issues, and follow all company policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role also involves maintaining orderly yard operations, communicating trailer locations, and assisting with basic documentation related to trailer movements as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong truck driving skills, including safe maneuvering of tractors and trailers in yard and dock areas.
• Valid CDL Class A license and familiarity with DOT regulations.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations.
• Medical Card.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatch, warehouse staff, and supervisors.
• Customer service mindset and professional conduct when representing the company to internal and external partners.

• Ability to work on-site in Conyers, GA, including standing, walking, and climbing in and out of tractors throughout the shift.
