Job summary

Didion Orf Recycling Inc. is hiring a Driver who shares our values of personability, tenacity, innovation and selfless service. The role emphasizes safe yard movements, proper load securement and customer-focused container placement across local routes.

Candidates must hold a Class A CDL, pass a DOT physical, have at least two years of verifiable driving experience, and maintain a clean MVR with limited moving violations. HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A CDL driver license.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Two years of verifiable tractor/trailer or roll-off driving experience.
• No on-road preventable accidents in the past three years as shown on the MVR.
• No more than one moving violation on the MVR in the past three years.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and position trucks, trailers, roll-off containers, and other equipment in the yard.
• Direct vehicles to loading, unloading, and staging areas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Identify and tag containers for proper handling.
• Perform box truck deliveries as needed.
• Ensure load securement using tarping methods.
• Consult with customers and management on container placement.
• Operate company trucks to service the local customer base.

Job Duties

• Safely move and position trucks, trailers, roll-off containers, and other equipment within the yard.
• Direct incoming and outgoing vehicles to designated loading, unloading, and staging areas.
• Maintain a Class A license, clean MVR, and participate in DOT required random procedure.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Identify and tag containers.
• Perform box truck deliveries.
• Ensure load securement utilize various tarping methods.
• Consult with customer and management alike on customer container placement.
• Operate DORI owned spotter truck, box truck or other equipment to service localized customer base.

Required Qualifications/Skills/Education

• Must have a Class “A” CDL driver license.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must have two years of verifiable tractor/trailer or roll off driving experience.
• No on-road preventable accidents during the past three years as shown on the motor vehicle record.
• No more than one moving violation on the MVR in the previous three years.
• High School Diploma or GED
