Job summary

Star Brands - A Division of the Middleby Corporation in Smithville, TN seeks a Spot Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform spot welding of various parts according to engineering specifications and ensure parts are staged for the next operation.

Read work orders and prints, operate welding machines, and maintain equipment and workspace to quality standards. Team collaboration is essential as you verify test procedures and participate in continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read work orders and prints.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to utilize barcode tracking to track parts, routings, job orders, and labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot welding of various parts per engineering specifications.
• Ensure all necessary parts are accounted for and staged for the next operation.
• Operate different spot welding machines including stud welders.
• Read work orders and prints; maintain housekeeping of the work center.
• Perform quality and appearance checks on finished units or parts.
• Ensure test procedures are performed and parts meet engineering requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the spot Welding of various parts according to engineering specifications and insure that all necessary parts are accounted for and properly staged for the next operation.

The employee must be able to operate different spot welding machines which includes stud welding machines.
Read work orders and prints.
Maintain proper housekeeping of work center.
Maintain proper housekeeping of work center.
Maintain proper condition of Equipment.
Perform quality checks and appearance checks of the finished unit or part.
Responsible for insuring all test procedures are being performed and insure part is made properly, according to engineering requirements.
All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Ability to utilize computers\bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, pick lists, employee labor, and attendance etc.
