Job summary

Star International Holdings is seeking a spot welding operator to weld parts per engineering specs. You will read work orders and prints, operate spot welding machines (including stud welders), and perform quality/appearance checks on finished parts.

Maintain housekeeping and proper equipment condition on the shop floor, and ensure all test procedures are followed to verify parts meet engineering requirements. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders.
• Capable of using bar codes or computer-based tracking for parts and labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot welding of various parts per engineering specifications.
• Operate spot welding machines including stud welders as required.
• Read work orders and prints to ensure correct parts are used.
• Perform quality and appearance checks on finished units or parts.
• Maintain clean and organized work center and proper equipment condition.
• Ensure test procedures are followed and parts meet engineering requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsible for the spot Welding of various parts according to engineering specifications and insure that all necessary parts are accounted for and properly staged for the next operation.

The employee must be able to operate different spot welding machines which includes stud welding machines.

Read work orders and prints.

Maintain proper housekeeping of work center.

Maintain proper housekeeping of work center.

Maintain proper condition of Equipment.

Perform quality checks and appearance checks of the finished unit or part.

Responsible for insuring all test procedures are being performed and insure part is made properly, according to engineering requirements.

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to utilize computers\bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, pick lists, employee labor, and attendance etc.
