General Accountabilities
- Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff, and culinary production team.
- Helps guests select food and beverages by suggesting courses, explaining the chef’s specialties, identifying appropriate beverage pairings, and answering food preparation questions.
- Maintains dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude.
- Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording guest choices and identifying guest special dietary needs and special requests.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, drink orders, and being alert to guest spills, and other special needs.
- Obtains revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, and returning change or credit card and signature slip to guest.
- Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
- Deep cleans restaurant equipment (tables, chairs, booths, soda and juice dispensers, coffee machines) as scheduled, or required.
- Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum six months to one year of food server experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Excel both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
- Must be able to obtain a Bossier ABO and LACT.
