Job summary
West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, TN is seeking a licensed massage therapist to provide skilled hands-on massage to patients and guests at the LIFT Wellness Center. You will use techniques such as Swedish, deep-tissue, and sports massage to relax muscles and aid in rehabilitation.
You will consult with clients, obtain medical history, determine modality, design a treatment plan with consent, and explain procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited school of massage therapy.
- Licensed to practice massage in Tennessee.
- CPR/AED certification recommended.
Responsibilities
- Greet client and escort to massage area.
- Consult client and obtain medical history to determine indications and contraindications.
- Assess soft tissues, joint function, range of motion, and muscle strength.
- Propose and establish a treatment plan with client consent.
- Provide massage modalities and adjust based on client feedback.
- Maintain SOAP notes and coordinate with healthcare professionals as needed.
