Job summary

The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Part-Time Sports Tourism Assistant 1 to support sports events and guests. You will greet attendees, assist staff, manage event entry, and help with sponsorship activations and surveys.

Responsibilities include cash handling, setup and teardown of event spaces, and maintaining safety and courtesy across venues. Must be reliable, flexible, and able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexible with varying shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• No minimum hours guaranteed.
• Ability to provide limited first aid.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests including athletes, spectators and staff.
• Control entry and access to events according to guidelines.
• Distribute surveys to guests and participants.
• Assist with sponsorship activations and event setup.
• Handle monetary transactions related to events.
• Assist with setup and teardown of venues and equipment.
• Ensure facilities are clean and safe during events.
