Job summary

City of O'Fallon, IL is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee games, practices, and clinics, ensuring staff are in the right place and rules are followed. You will work with the public to maintain a fun and safe environment for friendly competition.

The role requires outdoor work in summer, long hours, and the ability to run occasionally. You will supervise scorekeepers, refs, and umpires, manage equipment, and assist with setup and takedown.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Must be able to work long hours in outdoor summer temperatures.
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
• Running related to the job duties will be occasionally necessary.
• Reliable way to get to and from work.
• Ability to communicate well.

Responsibilities

• Supervise scorekeepers, refs, officials, and umpires ensuring all staff are on the correct playing area at the correct time.
• Monitor games ensuring they start/end on time.
• Organize and inspect sporting equipment ensuring equipment is intact and safe for gameplay and/or practices.
• Assist with setups, takedowns, and changeovers throughout the day.
• Ability to fill in and officiate games and/or operate scorers tables when needed.
• Field Supervisor: Watch over sports fields, answer questions & trouble shoot problems on game and practice nights.

Pay Rate:

$17.00
