Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Boise is seeking a Cashier to deliver an exceptional shopping experience by greeting customers, leveraging product knowledge, and assisting with purchases. This front-end role emphasizes efficient transactions and adherence to safety standards.

You will process sales and returns, promote loyalty programs and warranties, and support the store team while maintaining confidentiality of company information in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales or cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short durations (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively approach to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store and complete other tasks as assigned by management.
