Responsibilities

• Oversee, implement, and manage sports programs and activities in the gymnasium, emphasizing YMCA core values.
• Set up and break down equipment for various sports; manage inventory and schedule use of all sports courts.
• Provide a safe, friendly environment for all members and program participants.
• Listen to member needs and assist with all first aid as required.
• Document injuries, incidents, and equipment loss.
• Maintain the gymnasium neat, clean, and organized.
• Promote YMCA Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in interactions with youth, teens, adults, and seniors.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications; YMCA Child Abuse Prevention, Listen First, and Quality Service training (completed within first 90 days).
• Completion of online Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, and Employee Safety trainings within required timeframes.
• Ability to lift and maneuver approximately 45 pounds; comfortable standing, walking, running, jumping, and handling large gym equipment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
