Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing outpatient team in Bloomfield. You will collaborate with licensed therapists to implement plans of care, progress notes, and patient goals, while delivering compassionate, high‑quality care across orthopedic and sports injuries.

We welcome both new grads and experienced PTAs. Candidates must hold a New Jersey PTA license, have solid communication skills, and be computer literate.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant License is required.
• New grads and experienced PTAs welcome.
• Computer literacy required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Physical Therapists regarding plans of care and progression of exercises and goals for each patient.
• Assist with progress notes and re-evaluations to improve patient flow and increase patient satisfaction.
• Maintain high levels of communication with other service providers to ensure quality patient care.
• Complete notes thoroughly and within a timely manner to ensure collaborative care.
• Work towards advancement of the clinic by maintaining clinical excellence through CEUs.
• Participate in monthly meetings to identify challenges and improve clinic flow.
• Attend company-wide meetings to discuss initiatives to improve clinical excellence.
