Job summary

Campo Family YMCA is seeking a Sports Director to lead youth and adult sports programs, expand offerings, and create an engaging community. You will oversee leagues, clinics, camps, and open play while driving enrollment and revenue growth.

The role emphasizes leadership, program development, and data-driven decisions to raise program quality and participant satisfaction across our Tampa Bay area operations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in sports management, recreation management or similar field, business/operational management or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in sports, camp or similar youth related programs with supervisory and payroll management experience.
• Experience serving on leadership team of a Y (or similar) membership organization serving over 3,000 membership households preferred.
• Proven results in increasing program quality and growth through exceptional planning and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated with the consistent ability to meet or exceed goals, cultivate and retain program participants.

Responsibilities

• Grow & Innovate — Develop new leagues, clinics, events, and opportunities while strengthening the programs we already offer.
• Lead People — Recruit, train, coach, and inspire staff, officials, and volunteer coaches to deliver an outstanding experience.
• Create Community — Build a welcoming sports culture where children, adults, and families feel connected, supported, and excited to participate.
• Drive Results — Use enrollment, revenue, budgets, NPS, and participant feedback to set goals and continuously improve our programs.
