Job summary

University Orthopedics is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide in East Greenwich, RI for a full-time position. You will support therapists and patients in a dynamic orthopedic sports therapy clinic, set up equipment, manage inventory, and assist with scheduling and EMR entry.

Ideal candidates have an interest in athletics, strong interpersonal skills, data-entry accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with staff, patients and physicians.
• Computer experience and accuracy in data entry regarding patient appointments and scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Active interest in athletics and ability to assist with sports drills.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in a busy orthopedic sports physical therapy clinic.
• Set up and facilitate use of therapy equipment.
• Maintain equipment upkeep logs and inventory.
• Record inventory and order supplies.
• Assist with scheduling therapy patients and collecting co-pays if needed.
• Scan information into the EMR system and check in/out patients.
