Job summary

Elios Healthcare in Washington, DC, seeks an experienced Sports Physical Therapist to join a top orthopedic and sports medicine team serving high-level athletes from across the country. You will treat collegiate and professional athletes, manage ACL, shoulder, elbow injuries, and guide post-operative rehabilitation toward return to sport.

With a singular outpatient focus, you will work closely with surgeons and a tight-knit team to deliver individualized care and progression in a low-volume,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience.
• Sports or orthopedic PT experience preferred.
• ACL rehab and sports injuries experience.
• Shoulder and elbow rehab experience.
• Post-operative patient care experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoy working with athletes and high performers.
• Willingness to continue developing clinical skills.
• Dry needling experience or interest a plus.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Sports Physical Therapist to join a high performing orthopedic and sports medicine team in our nation's capital.

This is not a traditional orthopedic physical therapy clinic.

We work with high level athletes from across the country, including collegiate athletes and professionals from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, and UFC.

Our team brings everything together under one roof, including advanced imaging, ambulatory surgery and physical therapy.

Our patients have access to some of the most respected surgeons in the country who specialize in complex sports injuries and have extensive experience of treating ACL injuries.

The Opportunity

You will work alongside a team of experienced Physical Therapists and orthopedic specialists treating athletes throughout the entire continuum of care, including post operative rehabilitation and return to sport.

The ideal candidate is someone who understands athletes, enjoys working with high-performance patients and is comfortable treating complex orthopedic conditions involving the ACL, shoulder, elbow and other sports related injuries.

Our typical schedule includes approximately one new patient and two to three follow up visits per day, allowing you to spend meaningful time with each athlete rather than moving patients through a high-volume clinic.

You will not be treating the typical orthopedic patient population found in a traditional outpatient clinic.

Our patients include professional athletes who are sometimes flown in from across the country specifically to work with our physicians and rehabilitation teams.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with athletes who expect an extremely high level of clinical expertise, communication and personalized care.

We are a team of four Physical Therapists and are looking for another high caliber clinician who wants to be surrounded by other "A players" who take pride in working with athletes.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized physical therapy for collegiate, professional and high-level athletes
• Treat post operative orthopedic patients through the rehabilitation and return to sport process
• Evaluate and treat ACL, shoulder, elbow and other sports related injuries
• Develop individualized rehabilitation programs based on the athlete's sport, position and goals
• Communicate closely with orthopedic surgeons and the broader medical team
• Provide a high level of face-to-face patient care and education\Help athletes safely progress toward their return to competition
• Participate in a collaborative environment where clinical excellence and patient outcomes come first

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Physical Therapy experience
• Sports or orthopedic physical therapy experience strongly preferred
• Strong clinical experience with ACL rehabilitation and sports injuries
• Experience treating shoulder and elbow conditions
• Comfort working with post operative patients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoy working directly with athletes and high-performance individuals
• A willingness to continue learning and developing your clinical expertise
• Dry needling experience or interest is a plus
