Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care in Annapolis, MD is seeking a part-time physician to oversee the diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries at our Annapolis office, 1 day per week.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and board certification, and a bonus structure is included. Candidates must hold an MD/DO with BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or Neurology, plus an unrestricted license, DEA, and ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or Neurology.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the patient’s diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries.
• Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury.
• Recommend tests to determine extent of injury and appropriate treatment.
• Uphold the company’s mission to provide exceptional patient care and support ESG goals.

Job Duties

• Oversee the patient’s diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries.
• Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury

• MD/DO from an accredited educational institution
• BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or Neurology
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state work will be performed
• Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• DEA license
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers
• Tact and skill in patient management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to mentor and supervise staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Medicine – Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures
• Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.
