This Might Be a Good Fit

Armored Massage is a growing sports massage and recovery practice in Brookside, Kansas City, and we’re looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our small team.

If you love anatomy, exercise, recovery, and helping people actually feel better in their bodies, you’ll probably fit in well here.

We’re not a spa. Our clients come to us for sports massage, injury recovery, pain relief, mobility, and ongoing body maintenance.

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide customized massage sessions based on each client’s needs and recovery goals.

You’ll work with active people, athletes, lifters, runners, martial artists, and clients dealing with injuries, pain, or limited mobility.

You’ll also help educate clients about what you’re noticing and how they can better support their recovery outside the treatment room.

You Don’t Have to Know Everything

You don’t have to come in knowing everything, but you do need to be passionate about recovery and wellness to enjoy working here.

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely interested in how the body moves, heals, and performs. Sports massage experience is a plus, but curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a recovery-focused mindset matter just as much.

If you’re excited by anatomy, exercise, movement, and helping people feel and perform better, you’ll probably feel right at home.

Pay

Therapists receive 60% of service revenue plus 100% of their tips.

What We Need From You

• Active Missouri massage therapy license
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• Passionate about recovery, wellness, movement, and helping clients improve how they feel and function
• Strong understanding of anatomy and basic kinesiology
• Comfortable working with active clients, athletes, injuries, chronic pain, and mobility concerns
• Willing to learn sports massage and recovery-focused techniques
• Good communication skills and comfortable educating clients about their sessions
• Able to maintain accurate client notes and professional boundaries
• Responsible for checking clients in and out, processing payments, and helping clients rebook future appointments
• Comfortable performing multiple hands‑on sessions during a workday
• Able to maintain a clean, organized treatment space
• Willing to participate occasionally in team photos, videos, educational content, or community events
• Sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial work, cupping, stretching, or similar experience is a plus, but not required
