The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago in Naperville seeks a Sports/Specialty Instructor to lead sports and specialty programs for diverse age groups under the Program Director. You will supervise participants, teach fundamentals, ensure safety, and promote a positive environment for families and staff.

A background in coaching or playing sports is preferred; the role emphasizes ongoing learning and collaboration with volunteers.

Competenze

• Prior sports experience as a player/coach or equivalence.
• One to three years of coaching preferred.
• Continuous learner who keeps abreast of industry trends, best practices and safety guidelines to improve program quality and safety.
• Ability to quickly build effective and collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed to achieve program goals.

Qualifications

• Prior sports experience as a player/coach or equivalence
• Minimum of 16 years of age or older
• One to three years of coaching preferred
• Continuous learner Who keeps abreast of industry trends, best practices and safety guidelines in order to innovate on and improve program quality and safety
• Ability to quickly build effective and collaborative relationships with multiple, diverse stakeholders Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed to achieve program goals
