Job summary

The YMCA in Chicago is seeking a Sports/Specialty Instructor to plan and deliver programs for various age groups, supervise participants, and promote a safe, positive environment. You will coordinate activities, teach fundamentals, communicate with guardians, and support staff through daily guidance while adhering to YMCA policies.

Minimum age 16, 1–3 years coaching preferred, and a continuous learner mindset are valued as you contribute to safe, engaging programs and assist with special events.

Job Summary and Key Accountabilities:Under the direct supervision Of the Program Director, the Sports/Specialty Instructor Will conduct sports or Other specialty program activities and instruction for different age groups. Supervises a group of youth and/or adults. The Sports/Specialty Instructor Will instruct and supervise classes, practices, and/or games.
