Job summary

Texas Southern University is seeking a Coordinator of Sports Information (CSI) who reports to the Sports Information Director and leads publicity for all TSU sports. The role requires writing press releases, producing game programs and media guides, and maintaining the athletics site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Sport Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in sports communication preferred.
Ability to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist publicity efforts for all sponsored sports, including writing press releases and feature stories.
Produce and edit game programs, game notes, and media guides.
Maintain the Athletic department’s website; report to work in-person on campus and travel for away games and events.
Assist with TSU Athletics live stream setup and some writing for TSUSports.com.
Collaborate with media and social media teams to coordinate content and schedule cross-promotion.
