Job summary

Highland Community College seeks a Sports Information Director to lead statistics collection, reporting, and media relations for all athletics. You will coordinate game-day operations, manage press box and scorer activity, and ensure accurate athletic data for KJCCC and NJCAA.

You will develop newsletters, programs, recruitment materials, and social media content, work with Marketing and Alumni teams, and supervise student workers, photographers, and announcers to promote HCC athletics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Good computer skills required.
• Experience with common in-game statistics programs.
• Experience collecting and disseminating athletic statistics.
• Experience with production of video board content.
• Experience with video board advertisements & promotional materials.
• Experience with website production.
• Experience with current social media platforms.
• Written English communication with accurate punctuation and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate collection and reporting of all athletic statistics to KJCCC and NJCAA.
• Collaborate with Marketing for information release and promotional material development.
• Manage Athletic Department social media accounts per Marketing Director guidelines.
• Maintain and update Athletic Department website content as directed by Athletic Director.
• Coordinate and supervise press box, scorer's table, and game-day operations.
• Recruit, train, and schedule students for game-day operations including statistics, media, photography, and announcing.
• Produce game-day programs and QR coded programs in coordination with Marketing Director.
