Job summary

emcity is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance Worker to prepare and maintain athletic fields. This entry-level role involves painting lines, dragging and raking in-fields, chalking infields, and preparing pitching mounds and home plate areas, plus turf repairs.

You will also assist in equipment maintenance, clean restrooms, and support field operations under close supervision by the Recreation Manager. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience or ability to perform essential functions.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare athletic fields for play; paint lines; drag and rake in-fields; chalk infields; prepare pitching mounds and home plate areas; maintain skinned areas to required firmness; repair and renovate turf areas.
• Repair and maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Clean restrooms and empty trash; assist in field maintenance and general tasks as assigned.
