Job summary

The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, through Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Clute, is seeking Coaches for various teams. Candidates must have coaching or playing experience and be able to guide and mentor student athletes in a supportive Christian environment. Responsibilities include conducting regular practices and games, ensuring transportation for players, and fostering a positive team atmosphere. This position is stipend-based only.

Job Overview

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is currently seeking Coaches for the following teams this school year.

Responsibilities

When the games begin in late August, the teams will normally practice twice and play twice a week. The school is part of the Greater Houston Catholic Athletic Association which is divided into a North and South division. We normally play an away and home game against each of the schools in our division. There will therefore be travel involved. The players’ parents are responsible for their student athlete transportation to games.

Qualifications

The candidate must have coaching/playing experience, be knowledgeable about the game, demonstrate excellent communication skills, build rapport with players and parents, and act as a good Christian example for the student athletes. We do not cut student athletes; every student athlete who wants to play is able to make the team. The JV team is developmental and the Varsity team is competitive.
