Job summary

Bally's Rock Island is seeking a Bartender to deliver superior guest service, describe menu items, showcase wine tableside, and garnish beverages.

You will take orders, maintain bar cleanliness, manage beverage inventory, handle funds, and stay compliant with Alcohol Beverage Control regulations. Must have TIPS certification and Bassett Card; High School diploma; flexible shifts; English required.

This role offers hourly pay with tips, a lively work environment with bright lights and noise.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• TIPS certification required; Bassett Card/Basset Card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from guests accurately and timely, using guest's name when possible.
• Describe menu items and present wine tableside; garnish beverages.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
• Keep par levels and inventory up to date; restock as needed.
• Process payments and receive funds.
• Be knowledgeable about promotions and events.
• Handle intoxicated guests professionally.
• Respond to guest cues and ensure superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.


• Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures.


• Maintain the highest standard of professionalism when interacting with guests and co-workers.


• Have complete product knowledge, be able to describe all menu items, have basic wine knowledge, be able to suggest and present wine tableside, have basic liquor knowledge and able to garnish all beverages.


• Make specific suggestions and recommendations to increase guest check average.


• Responsibilities include taking orders from guests in a timely manner and correctly according to order given. Using the guests name when possible.


• Responsibilities include keeping work areas clean and organized.


• Use daily maintenance of all bar equipment.


• Responsibilities may include receiving funds.


• Responsibilities include maintaining par levels related to inventory ordering and restocking as needed.


• Knowledge of all promotions and events.


• Ability to professionally handle situations that may arise due to intoxicated guests


• All other duties as assigned.

The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.

• Target Salary Range $9.00 Plus Tips
