Job summary

Sofive Brooklyn, NY is hiring a Sport Associate Soccer Referee to officiate in our leagues and tournaments and provide excellent service on the fields.

You will enforce game rules, manage pace for safety and competitiveness, and keep accurate records of scores, fouls, and participation while staying professional at all times.

Qualifications include knowledge of soccer rules, good communication, and ability to make impartial decisions under pressure; evenings and weekends availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous soccer referee experience preferred.
• Certification as a referee through U.S. Soccer or other governing body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Officiate in leagues and tournaments and ensure fair play.
• Enforce game rules and manage game pace for safety and competitiveness.

Position: Sport Associate Soccer Referee

Job Overview: Join our dynamic team at Sofive Soccer Centers as a Sport Associate Soccer Referee. In this role, you will officiate in our leagues and tournaments while providing exceptional service to all players. You will act as a point of contact with Sofive customers on the fields, ensuring a fair and safe play environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Attend all scheduled games promptly and enforce game rules effectively.
• Manage game pace to ensure a balance between safety and competitiveness.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with coaches, players, and other officials.
• Keep accurate records of game scores, fouls, and player participation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Attend training sessions and certification courses as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations.
• Understanding of game management and conflict resolution.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to make confident and impartial decisions under pressure.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a soccer referee preferred.
• Certification as a referee through U.S. Soccer or other governing body preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time.
• Ability to see and hear clearly to make accurate calls.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
