Job summary

Thirty-Five Capital, located in Wheeling, IL, seeks a hands-on Product Development Engineer with 3–5 years experience in plastic/rubber molding and foamed materials to drive design from concept through production across multiple sporting goods categories.

You will collaborate with the Senior R&D Engineer, manage CAD/models and BOMs, and work with domestic and international partners to ensure manufacturability and timely product launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of product development or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with plastic injection molding, rubber molding, or foamed materials.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and 3D CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, and validate new sporting goods products and components.
• Support all phases of the product development process from concept to commercialization.
• Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Collaborate with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners for launches.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to optimize designs.
