Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years applicable experience.
• Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with ISO 9000 – Design Control or similar quality systems.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint).
• Experience with statistical analysis and SPC tools such as Minitab.
• Preferred experience in SolidWorks for product, mold and tool design.
• Polymer composites manufacturing process experience.
• Product Data Management (PDM) software for product engineering and design information.
• SSGB, CMM, GD&T and FEA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts for new product design, development, and prototyping.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design, evaluate, and procure new equipment and technologies for capex projects.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to define standardized workflows and support production processes.
• Develop high-quality technical documentation for successful product launches.
• Work with Marketing and Business Development to define product requirements, timelines, and project plans.
• Maintain and update engineering documentation for assigned product lines.
• Improve product design integrity, quality, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
• Produce engineered CAD drawings as needed.
• Support customers by addressing application‑related technical questions.
• Apply standard engineering processes, tools, and best practices.
• Serve as SME for assigned product lines, providing technical guidance.
• Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, equipment, and tools.

We’re looking for a versatile and driven Product Engineer to join our team and contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept and design to launch and ongoing product line support. Essential Functions:

New Product Development

• Lead engineering efforts for new product design, development, and prototyping.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design, evaluate, and procure new equipment and technologies that enhance company capabilities through capital expenditure projects.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to define standardized workflows and support capable, efficient production processes.
• Develop high-quality technical documentation and supporting materials to ensure successful product launches.
• Work closely with Marketing and Business Development to define product requirements, timelines, and project plans.

Product Line Support

• Maintain and update engineering documentation—including work instructions, SOPs, raw material purchase specifications and product specifications—for assigned product lines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve product design integrity, quality, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
• Produce engineered CAD drawings as needed.
• Support customers by addressing application‑related technical questions.

General Responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering processes, tools, and best practices to ensure consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned product lines, providing technical guidance and cross‑functional support.
• Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, equipment, and tools to enhance processes, expand capabilities, and enable innovative product development.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years applicable experience
• Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working within ISO 9000 – Design Control or similar quality systems.
