As Sport Manager, Athletics Road Events, you are LA28's stakeholder manager to World Athletics, World Para Athletics, and USA Track and Field for the marathon and race walk program. You develop the sport workforce plan with the local athletics community, validate equipment requirements, and work with the federations on competition and training schedules. You contribute sport-specific expertise to organizational planning and connect timing, scoring, and results to competition requirements. It suits an operator establishing a road event program from the ground up.
Road events run through the streets of Los Angeles, watched by the whole city rather than a single venue. Your federation relationships, workforce planning, and schedule work make those competitions credible for athletes and memorable for the community along the course.
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $108,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
