Job summary

Special Olympics, Inc. is seeking a Sport Data & Analytics Intern to support data collection, consolidation and analysis for sport development initiatives. The role can be remote or DC-based in person, part-time with university credit possible.

You will aggregate data, conduct literature reviews, build research databases, and assist with surveys to evaluate current programming. Eligible students pursuing a relevant degree should have strong Excel and Power BI skills and an interest in sport,

Qualifications

Bachelor's or pursuing master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Sports Management, or related field.
Interest in sports, program evaluation, data management, and performance measurement.
Proficiency in Excel and Power BI; SQL/R/Python experience preferred.
Strong analytical and communication skills; data quality and confidentiality focus.

Responsibilities

Aggregate data and research results to create reports and presentations
Conduct literature reviews on topics, such as community inclusion, impact of sport on health, and long-term health outcomes
Create and organize research databases
Sport Data analysis
Review of potential research partners
Develop and implement surveys to evaluate current programming
Review and assist with updating existing data collection tools and resources
