The Sport Coach – Swim Team (Westy Waves) is the head coach for the non-competitive swimming team representing the City of Westminster and the CARA program. The position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to travel to work and other pools outside of the city as needed. Recreation staff are primarily responsible for ensuring the safety of program participants.
The full salary range is stated above. The starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities include:
Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the City.
Must be at least 18 years old, have coaching or extensive swimming instruction experience, and obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications within 30 days of hire. Preference for personal swim team experience.
Work involves physical activity, including standing, walking, crouching, lifting, and rescue operations, often in a wet, noisy indoor pool environment. Must have sufficient stamina and strength for rescue duties.
Legal eligibility to work in the U.S., passing background checks, and drug screening are required.
