Job summary

Allied Wire & Cable is seeking a Warehouse Spooling Associate on 1st shift in Collegeville, PA. The role involves operating spooling machines, inventory control, and supporting general warehouse tasks on a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

Pay is $18 per hour with full benefits. Located at 101 Kestrel Drive, Collegeville, PA, 19426, this position offers exposure to a leading wire and cable distributor within a nationwide GCG family, with opportunities for hands-on experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs.
• Reliable transportation is required as the site is not accessible by public transit.

Responsibilities

• Daily set-up and operation of spooling machine, ensuring machine runs smoothly.
• Run test spool daily to ensure accurate calibration of footage counter.
• Operate hand-held scan gun to scan spools to appropriate location.
• Monitor tool kit and ensure all pieces are present and accounted for.
• Sweep floors, wipe scrap off machinery, throw trash away, clear scrap wire, etc.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
