The University of Kansas Center for Research seeks a Research Contracts & Purchasing Specialist to support contract drafting, intake, and compliance within the Fiscal Affairs team. The role ensures agreements align with KUCR policies and sponsor requirements, handling purchasing coordination and subcontract invoice processing with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (Oracle).
• Three+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or research administration.

Responsabilités

• Provide contract support across processing lifecycle using KU/KUCR templates.
• Perform preliminary compliance checks and flag missing information.
• Coordinate with KU Purchasing and suppliers to ensure compliance and timely processing.
• Draft agreements accurately using standardized templates and maintain organized records.
• Monitor and track agreements to reduce delays and improve turnaround times.
