Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated experience in university research administration encompassing both pre-award proposal development and post-award financial management.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigate stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-award proposal development with embedded faculty units, ensuring accurate budgets and justifications.
• Conduct regulatory screening of RFPs/FOAs to ensure compliance with F&A rules and cost allowability.
• Route records within RED Proposal Development and other systems for central approval.
• Build and package proposals in sponsor portals (Research.gov, grants.gov, eRA Commons, ASSIST).
• Oversee post-award budgeting, onboarding, and cost-sharing tracking.
• Monitor compliance with CAS, Uniform Guidance, state rules, and university policies.
• Develop multi-year spending projections and variance analyses for faculty.
• Coordinate reconciliations and file closeouts for grants; support audits.
• Collaborate across the college and with central ORA to balance deadlines and resources.
