You will apply advanced accounting principles, ensure compliance with sponsor requirements, and coordinate with PIs and central ORA teams.

The role emphasizes centralized research administration within a department-embedded model, requiring strong communication, Excel proficiency, and experience with grant budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in university research administration including pre-award and post-award.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, shared-services environment.
• Proficiency with Excel for financial tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• CRA/CPRA/CFRA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-award proposal budgets and justifications with PIs.
• Ensure compliance with F&A rules, CAS, UG and funding restrictions.
• Route records in RED Proposal Development and related systems.
• Build and package proposals for sponsor portals (GRANTS.gov, eRA, ASSIST).
• Monitor post-award ledgers for compliance and accurate cost reporting.
• Develop multi-year spending projections and variance analyses.
• Provide cross-coverage support during peak submission cycles.
