Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Topeka and Lawrence is seeking a compassionate, reliable in-home caregiver to assist a male client with his morning startup and evening wind-down routines. This part-time, split-shift role offers steady hours and the chance to make a direct daily impact.

The position requires 18+, a HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and a patient, respectful attitude. Training is provided, with travel reimbursements for shifts between client locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Respectful, patient, and compassionate attitude toward caregiving.
• High reliability and punctuality—consistency for morning and bedtime routines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home care to help our client start and end his day safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
• Assist with morning hygiene, dressing, and safe transfers out of bed; prepare light breakfast and provide medication reminders.
• Assist with evening hygiene, bathing/showering, personal care, and help with mobility and bedtime routines.
