Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC is seeking a Level II Technician, Splicing, to perform mid-level splicing on a variety of underground, aerial, and ISP projects nationwide. The role emphasizes safety, customer-centric service, and a proactive ALL IN attitude.

The technician will read prints and splice matrices, determine routing and equipment needs, and perform splices in live facilities while maintaining safety standards and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of fiber optic splicing experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Valid driver license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs mid-level splicing functions for aerial, underground, and ISP cable routing on various projects.
• Interprets construction prints, drawings, and splice matrices to meet customer requirements.
• Determines equipment needs, cable route, safety practices, and performs splicing in live customer facilities.
• Independently performs mid-sheath cable entry using proper tools.
• Performs mid-level single and/or ribbon splices with large cable counts.
• Reads test results and troubleshoots basic issues.
• Proficient in mid-level OTDR and power meter testing.
• Installs and researches procedures for splice enclosures.
• Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues with a customer-centric approach.
• Responds promptly to critical outages with appropriate urgency.
• Maintains awareness of safety risks in a safety-sensitive position.
