Position Overview

The Splicer/MDU Technician is responsible for fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and completing MDU (Multi‑Dwelling Unit) installations with accuracy, safety, and professionalism. You will work closely with field leadership to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to OSO’s quality standards.

Requirements

• Must have a valid ES7 License (Non‑negotiable)
• Experience in fiber splicing (aerial, underground, or both)
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry best practices
• Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and splice diagrams
• Problem‑solving mindset and commitment to high‑quality work

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• OTDR and OLT testing experience
• Knowledge of MDU layout, cabling, and finishing
• Experience with restoration work (concrete/asphalt preferred)
