Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Coax Splicer II to join its telecom construction team, splicing coaxial cable networks for internet, cable TV, and phone services. You’ll work aerial and underground with strict safety and quality standards, performing tests, activations, and troubleshooting after installations.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least two years of coax splicing experience.

Competenze

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and earn a medical card.
• At least two years of coax splicing experience.

Mansioni

• Perform tasks associated with electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and underground
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least two years of coax splicing experience

Additional Qualifications

• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles
