Job description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the department's productivity and quality goals are met. As a leader in integrity and quality, the Manufacturing Associate I is part of a cohesive team manufacturing high-quality products. This diverse and exciting role cross trains in different value streams based on the changing needs of the business. You will interact fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross‑functionally work with Quality Control, Logistics, and Process Engineers. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN environment. In this position, your schedule will be from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Verify and use needed raw materials, tools, and equipment to perform basic machine operations/work orders. Use calipers, verniers and other measuring devices to perform and evaluate assembly work.
  • Perform basic operations on multiple machine setups and prepare, process, and inspect materials for optimal quality and output. This includes routine and basic machine maintenance on the machines such as from large blades to medium blade/small blade).
  • Complete daily documentation and reporting metrics accurately and on time as outlined.
  • Perform basic computer and material troubleshooting and communicate between departments and notify leaders and engineers of issues.
  • Work cross‑functionally in designated areas to support business needs such as extrusion, molding, trimming, and splicing.
  • Support company LEAN and High‑Performance Team objectives and initiatives to promote company culture through by assisting with training/shadowing and filling out team improvement board information and/or Starpoint.
  • Sustain Safety and 5S program, use appropriate PPE for designated area, which includes work with or around chemicals such as MEK, Acetone, Alcohol, Silicone adhesives and toluene.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • 0‑2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand‑to‑eye coordination a plus.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and use of computers with Microsoft Office.
  • Must demonstrate effective understanding and use of verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working daily around hazardous chemicals.
Conditions of Employment

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $19/hr to $31/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
