Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Chemist to provide technical and analytical support across fermentation, distillation, aging, processing, bottling, and laboratory operations. You will use advanced testing and data analysis to maintain product quality, solve challenges, and identify efficiency opportunities.

You’ll work closely with Quality, Technical Services, and operations teams to define and improve chemical and sensory profiles of our spirits, while ensuring compliance and safety in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of laboratory, quality control, or related experience.
• Strong analytical and technical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate across all levels.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and develop advanced analytical methods using HPLC, GC, and other instrumentation to evaluate spirits, distillates, fermentation, and maturates.
• Partner with Distillery, Quality, Technical Services, and operations teams to develop specifications and support new products.
• Analyze and interpret chemical and sensory data to fingerprint spirits profiles and improve quality, productivity, and cost.
• Maintain laboratory procedures and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Promote safety, quality, environmental compliance, and career development per OSHA, TTB, EPA and company requirements.
