Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a full-time Barback at the iconic Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. You will support bartenders, set up and maintain bar areas, ensure stock quality, and keep service areas clean and compliant with health standards.

Experience in hospitality is preferred; availability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays is required. Join a team recognized for service excellence within a luxury resort setting.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders in preparation, service and maintenance of bars and beverage service.

• Assist bartender and ensure adequate supplies for bar and extended service area.
• Transport taps and maintain beer kegs; handle ice and storage.

About our property:

The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the "Jewel of the Desert" since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39‑acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150million restoration. What you will have an opportunity to do:

• Spire Bar was added to the hotel in 2021 during the renovation and stands as the headquarters of the Biltmore’s lively social scene.
• The beautiful outdoor bar and lounge has 250-seats serving a delicious array of refreshing cocktails, wines, and culinary creations.
• The Barback is responsible for supporting the bartenders in their preparation, service, and maintenance of bars and other beverage service associated with the Wright Bar and Restaurant.
• Retrieves beverage orders from Purchasing, visually checks stock received against written requisition with the storeroom personnel, to ensure order is accurate, and then stores the beverage product in the beverage storeroom area.
• Upon delivery to the beverage storeroom area, re-checks items with bartender for completeness.
• Sets up glassware and other equipment.
• Checks and assists bartender in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies, i.e., stir sticks, napkins, matches, etc…, for both the immediate bar and extended service area.
• Transports taps, replaces and performs routine maintenance requirements on heavy beer kegs.
• Assist bartender.
• Maintains cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration and storage areas to comply with health code standards.
• Ensures all glassware, trash and linen are removed and properly stored.
• Scoops ice from ice bins, transports to service areas and replenishes ice containers for usage.
• Boxes and saves empty liquor bottles as they accumulate for later returns and requisitions.
• This position is full‑time, must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
