Job description

Location: Pittsfield, ME
Position: Spiral Technician
Pay: $20.88/hr
Shift: 1st shift Monday through Thursday 6:30-3:30, Friday 6:30-11:30. Overtime as scheduled on Friday afternoon until 2:30.

**Must be willing to work overtime when needed**

Reporting to the shift supervisor, you will work in production within our tube and core division, focusing on quick, safe work practices. Excellent attendance is crucial. Candidates should have success in fast-paced environments, teamwork skills, and an eye for defect detection. Pride in hands-on, analytical, organizational skills, and attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Learning and assisting with machine and support 17’’ winder equipment setups.
  • Operating, setting up, and troubleshooting machinery as needed, including cutter operation.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment related to the yarn line.
  • Proficiency in operating machinery on a substitute basis.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong communication and housekeeping skills.
  • A strong safety focus.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours.
  • Ability to interpret Oracle production orders and input data accurately.
  • Experience in tracking production metrics like scrap, efficiency, downtime, and material usage.
  • Willingness to assist team members with setup, quality, and production tasks.
