Job description

Job Opening: Spiral Technician

Location: Pittsfield, ME

Pay: $20.88/hr

Shift: 1st shift, Monday through Thursday 6:30-3:30, Friday 6:30-11:30. Overtime as scheduled on Friday afternoon until 2:30.

Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist in all required machine and support 17' winder equipment setups.
2. Operate, set up, and troubleshoot machinery as needed, demonstrating mechanical skills.
3. Operate cutter and perform machine preventative maintenance on equipment related to the carpet yarn line.
4. Operate machines proficiently on a substitute basis.
5. Work in production, ensuring quick, safe, and efficient operations.
6. Spot defects in the packing line and maintain high standards of quality.
7. Interpret and understand Oracle production orders and requirements, entering data accordingly.
8. Track and report production metrics such as scrap, efficiency, downtime, and paper usage.
9. Assist team members with setups, packaging, quality, and other production tasks.
