Air Products is seeking a Night Production Supervisor for the Spinning Operations team at the Membrane Solutions facility in St. Louis, MO. This role leads a night-shift crew of ~16 technicians, ensuring safe, quality-driven production across all spinning lines.

You will oversee production execution, address operational challenges, support continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to lead teams and make independent decisions in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Associate degree or technical discipline is required.
• Experience in continuous manufacturing and hollow fiber spinning or related processes.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience supervising manufacturing teams in a 24/7 operation.

Air Products is seeking a Night Production Supervisor (6pm to 6am) to lead our Spinning Operations team at our Membrane Solutions manufacturing facility in St. Louis, Missouri.This role serves as the primary spinning operations leader on site during the night shift, overseeing all spinning production areas and guiding a team of approximately 16 production technicians and working team leads. As the sole dedicated spinning supervisor during nights, you will play a critical role in maintaining safe operations, ensuring product quality, supporting production targets, and developing a high-performing workforce.If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys problem solving, coaching teams, and making independent decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment, we invite you to join our team.The Night Production Supervisor is responsible for leading all spinning operations across the full manufacturing footprint during a fixed night-shift rotation. This position provides direct leadership for production personnel and working team leads while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all spinning lines.Working independently during off-shift hours, the successful candidate will oversee production execution, coordinate resources, respond to operational challenges, manage quality concerns, support employee development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as the primary point of leadership for spinning operations during the night shift and is responsible for maintaining operational continuity across the facility.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES****Safety Leadership*** Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and active participation in the Basic Safety Process (BSP).* Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.* Lead pre-shift safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices.* Serve as the primary spinning operations leader during emergency situations and incident response activities.* Ensure proper incident documentation, investigation support, and escalation when required.**Production & Operations Management*** Direct and coordinate all night-shift spinning operations across multiple production areas.* Execute the production schedule while balancing safety, quality, and productivity objectives.* Make real-time decisions regarding staffing, priorities, equipment issues, and production constraints.* Coordinate work assignments and resources to maximize operational effectiveness.* Communicate production challenges and opportunities to day-shift leadership.**Quality & Process Control*** Ensure adherence to established work instructions, operating procedures, and process parameters.* Monitor production performance and product quality across all spinning lines.* Address process deviations and quality concerns within established authority levels.* Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.* Maintain compliance with applicable quality management systems, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.**People Leadership & Development*** Lead, coach, and develop a team of production technicians and working team leads.* Establish clear performance expectations and foster accountability.* Support employee onboarding, training, and skills development initiatives.* Promote employee engagement and teamwork across the night-shift organization.* Consistently apply company policies and development practices.**Operational Excellence*** Ensure thorough and effective shift handoffs between day and night operations.* Support production growth initiatives and capacity expansion projects.* Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.* Participate in Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, and continuous improvement activities.* Maintain accurate operating records and documentation.**Required Qualifications*** Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with progressive leadership or supervisory responsibilities.* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and make independent decisions in a manufacturing environment.* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.* Proven commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.* Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.* Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.* Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Process Technology, or a related technical discipline.* Experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.* Experience with hollow fiber spinning or related process manufacturing operations.* Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems.* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.* Experience supervising manufacturing teams in a 24/7 operation. **What's In It for You:**At Air Products we foster a culture of inclusion where every voice is heard, and everyone feels they belong and matter.
