Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in San Diego, CA, seeks an orthopedic spine surgeon to join on-site as a 1099 independent contractor. The role is a contract position designed to complement your current practice, with a typical 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis.

The Specialist will manage medically complex cases alongside medical and therapy teams, providing both non-surgical and surgical spine care for work-related injuries, and participate in case management and employer communication.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries.
• Licensure requirements of the state of practice.
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university.
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
• Must have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site.

Responsibilities

• Half a day per week or biweekly
• Flexible scheduling with consideration of your private practice

Education

MD or DO degree from accredited university

Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Spine Surgery
