Job summary

Emory Physician Group Practices in Georgia invites a Spine Surgeon to join a collaborative orthopedic team as part of MGO and ESA. Build a busy, high-volume spine practice while expanding access to specialty care in the region from a community-based setting in Warner Robins, GA.

Expect to perform core spine procedures with strong growth potential and occasional general orthopedic call as the practice expands.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required for medical practice.
• Valid and unrestricted Georgia medical license required.
• DEA certificate required; must be in good standing.
• Board eligibility or board certification preferred.
• Outpatient medical practice experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Perform core spine surgical procedures with an annual volume of 300–400 spine cases.
• Develop a busy, high‑volume spine practice within a community-based setting.
• Collaborate with Emory's orthopedic team and refer complex cases to Emory in Atlanta as needed.
• Possibly participate in general orthopedic call; role evolving with practice growth.

Job description

This position offers the opportunity to join Emory's orthopedic team as part of MGO and ESA in a collaborative, community-based practice. Due to strong patient demand, there is an immediate opportunity to build a busy, high-volume hand practice while expanding access to specialty care in the region.

Spine Surgeon

Focus primarily on core spine surgical procedures with an anticipated surgical volume of 300-400 spine procedures annually and significant opportunity for continued growth. You'll treat a broad range of degenerative, traumatic, and elective spine conditions while building a thriving referral base. More complex tertiary and quaternary cases will continue to be referred to Emory in Atlanta, allowing you to focus on developing a strong community-based spine practice. As part of the orthopedic team, there may also be some general orthopedic call and coverage responsibilities, with the balance of spine and general orthopedics evolving as the practice continues to grow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.). Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred. Hold a valid DEA certificate without restriction. Experience in outpatient medical practice preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be computer literate.
