Job summary
The Spine and Orthopedic Center in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our busy practice. The PA will evaluate new and follow-up patients, manage medications, perform in-office procedures, and assist in surgery one day per week under physician supervision.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited PA program, active PA license, board certification, and BLS/ACLS certifications. This full-time position offers benefits and relocation assistance.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Current state PA license.
- Board Certification required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating new and follow-up patients in clinic.
- Medication management, including issuing prescriptions and refills.
- In-office procedures.
- Assisting with pre-op and post-op clinical care.
- Monitoring effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Making referrals and documenting care per insurance requirements.
- On-call rotation for patients under physician supervision.
- Assist in surgery 1 day a week.
