Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join its Spine Program. The role is hospital-based and dedicated to neurosurgical and spine patients, working closely with neurosurgeons, hospitalists, nursing, case management, and other care teams.

The position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no call, no weekends, and no holidays, plus opportunities to improve patient outcomes, documentation, and care coordination across the inpatient spine

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience in neurosurgery, orthopedic spine, hospital medicine, or inpatient care preferred.
• Eligible for Sentara credentialing and privileging.

Responsibilities

• Round daily with neurosurgeons on hospitalized spine patients.
• Provide inpatient assessment and management of spine patients.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Serve as the clinical liaison between surgeons, hospitalists, nursing, therapy, case management, and ancillary departments.
• Enhance communication across the care team to improve coordination and patient experience.
• Support continuity of care from admission through discharge.
