Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Nampa, ID, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a new physician and APP in a fast-paced Pain Management and Spine clinic. The role includes collecting histories, tox screens, patient education, chart prep, and scheduling procedures, with two on-site days per week in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire from Saint Alphonsus approved agencies.
• New graduates: MA cert or externship/experience acceptable.
• Medical Assistant with Experience: 1 year MA experience or current certification or renewal within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical history and urine tox screens and provide patient education.
• Assist with chart prep, referral review, prior authorizations, scheduling procedures, and respond to patient messages.
• Occupies hospital setting portions; expect being on your feet about 2 days per week.
• Demonstrate compassion, motivation, organization, and teamwork in patient care.
• Interest in spine and nerve care and helping patients with challenging diagnoses.
