Job summary

Welo Data is seeking a detail-oriented Data Labeling Analyst to join our onsite team in the Bay Area, Seattle, NYC, or client locations, with a 40-hour week and $28/hour pay. This 100% onsite role focuses on labeling and annotating speech and language data for AI systems.

Native Portuguese (Portugal) fluency, strong written skills, and precision are essential. You’ll follow guidelines, maintain quality, and work in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Native-level Portuguese (Portugal) fluency with strong written skills.
• 1 year work experience in data labeling or related content work, or degree in a related field.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in structured processes.
• Willingness to ask questions when unclear and to work in process-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume data labeling and annotation across speech datasets.
• Follow guidelines to ensure consistency and data integrity.
• Label audio and language data including transcription, categorization, tagging.
• Maintain throughput while meeting quality expectations.
• Escalate unclear cases appropriately.
• Adapt to evolving guidelines and workflows as systems change.
• Support baseline data production for AI training pipelines.
• Contribute to team calibrations and quality alignment sessions.
